NextGen 2026: today’s industry, tomorrow’s industry

On May 15th, alongside Tissue Planet 2026, NextGen was held: a day dedicated to young people entering the tissue industry. We enthusiastically participated, sharing the stories of people who have distinguished themselves in our company, as an example and inspiration for the new generations.

Taking the stage at NextGen was Matteo Lucarelli, Production Planner and Supervisor, who now holds a role of responsibility and team coordination. Matteo’s first job was on the shop floor, but his desire to grow and challenge himself has led him to grow. Matteo shared his journey and how his passions and desire to invest in training have influenced it, demonstrating that even an unconventional path can lead to great results.

Three other young people from different company departments also attended the event.

Bartolomeo Marco Betti, Area Sales Manager, is the salesperson in charge of Africa and the Middle East. He recently signed a major agreement with Faderco, which has decided to invest in two complete converting lines by Gambini.

Davide Chiocchetti, Junior Mechanical Designer, is one of those people who have turned their passion into a career: he works in 3D printing. His creations now support many activities at Gambini, from practical needs for communication and sales to the manufacturing of actual parts of the lines.

Edy Zuncheddu is a Lean Production Engineer. Fascinated by the concept of “continuous improvement” and waste reduction, he reaffirmed at Gambini the importance of the values that younger generations hold dear, such as sustainability and the intelligent use of resources.

Alongside them, the Human Resources department: Daniela Franceschi and Francesca Beltrami, engaged with young people interested in our company through preliminary interviews and discussed career opportunities, as well as how we value our people every day.

Sharing these stories with young people entering the tissue sector was another way to share our vision and lay the foundation for a future focused on sustainable growth.
