Tissue Planet 2026: our vision, beyond the industry’s boundaries

, da al , Stand

Gambini’s participation at Tissue Planet 2026 as the Main Sponsor of its second edition was a declaration of intent. Building the future of tissue means facing the present with the understanding that we can never stop, even when technologies are working and performing perfectly. Technological innovation, focus on everyday well-being and investment in people: these are the values we discussed during the two days at the Real Collegio of Lucca.

Our challenge against comfort

Our speech opened the second day of Tissue Planet, which continued through the evening with panels featuring tissue industry leaders.

Those who followed the first edition will remember our talk on well–being: a speech so well received that it was replicated on various international stages. Returning to that topic, however, would have meant remaining in a safe harbor: our vision today has further evolved.

Gianni Gambini, Executive Member of the Board of Directors, and Nicola Romagnani, Marketing and Product Manager, went beyond the concept of well-being. The greatest risk for companies in our industry lies in complacency, in resting on successes. Today’s cutting-edge technologies, if not continually challenged, become tomorrow’s limits.

Our speech, “Comfort is the real competitor,” is an exhortation to go further.

Innovate as a mission

Our Lab Stage presentation, “One Size Does Not Fit All,” addressed the same dilemma from a technical perspective. Paolo Lazzareschi, Chief Technology Officer, illustrated the heart of our technologies, the AirMill wet embosser, and its capacity for continuous innovation. This is complemented by highly flexible technologies such as the TouchMax, the quick-change embosser with five steel rolls permanently on board, and the G1 rewinder.

The sale of complete lines to companies with ambitious visions for the future demonstrates the effectiveness of our solutions. Today, with a production facility in Joinville, Brazil, and a service/spare parts branch in Green Bay, USA, in addition to our facilities in Lucca, Italy, we are able to offer our solutions in an even more concrete and customer-friendly manner.

Commitment to the future

Our commitment always begins with people: behind every piece of technology are the minds that work at Gambini every day and who, over the years, have grown within the company itself. The NextGen event for young people, held alongside Tissue Planet, hosted Production Planner and Supervisor Matteo Lucarelli on stage to share his journey from a factory floor role to one of coordination and responsibility. Also present were Bartolomeo Marco Betti (Area Sales Manager), Davide Chiocchetti (Junior Mechanical Designer), Edy Zuncheddu (Lean Production Engineer) and the Human Resources team, to engage directly with the students attending the event.
